How to Choose the Right Projector
Lumens
The light output of projectors is typically measured in lumens. A standardized procedure for testing has been established, which allows projectors to be compared on the basis of their brightness.
Lighting Control
By dimming the lights, using window treatments, or adjusting the time of your presentation, you can use a less powerful data projector and still get the same visual impact as a more expensive model.
Resolution
The projector resolution refers to the level of detail that can be shown. Our HD projectors will show the best picture quality but only when connected to an HD source. Typical LCD or DLP projectors shoot a 1920x1080 resolution.
Image Size
Every projector has a minimum and maximum image size. Larger images generally require more powerful projection equipment. However, even our least powerful Acer projector will shoot an attractive 10ft x 5.5ft image. We will match your requested image size to the appropriate model while staying within your budget.
Throw Distance
This refers to the distance between the projector and the screen. A typical lens works best with a throw distance between 5 and 15 feet. If you require more distance than 15 feet, please request a long-throw lens.Connectivity - A projector is useless if it cannot connect to your image or video source.
